AIM to Get Better at Understanding Dementia.
At Aim to Get Better, we are on a mission to give people hope, support and accurate information about dementia.
There is so much negative publicity and misinformation being given out about dementia, it’s no wonder people feel so hopeless and don’t know where to turn for support when they think they, or a loved one, may be displaying symptoms of cognitive change.
We all hope for a day when researchers can find effective treatments and, ultimately, a cure for the many conditions that come under the umbrella of “dementia”.
In the meantime, at Aim to Get Better, we passionately believe that it is possible for people living with dementia to THRIVE.
“We need to change our minds about people whose minds have changed!”

“Dementia does not rob people of their dignity: its the people caring for them that do that!”

At Aim to Get Better, we have discovered that upcycling can be a very therapeutic and creative activity.
There is something extremely profound about taking an unloved, unwanted item and giving it a glorious new identity.
No two items end up the same; each one has its own unique story to tell.
From rusty buckets, to water butts, broken pallets and glass bricks, we are willing to have a go at anything!
Please take a look at our gallery. If you have an item that you would like us to upcycle for you, please get in touch and we will give you a quote. If you would like to order an item from our shop, please note that items are made to order/on commission, and we will try to give you a realistic timescale for completion on receipt of your order.
